The Open - Day 2

No great suprises after the first days play yesterday......the whole Woods Faldo thing was blown up by the press as they smiled there way around the first tee.......and then Faldo promptly hacked round in the top 70's as predicted.......unfortunately it didn't bring Woods down to his level and the boy site very nicely in the pack. Not to worry, the main concern are my 2 tips to win the thing in Love III and Harrington who both had VERY uninspiring + par rounds.......idiots, that and Couples going round in -2 did not please me in the slightest......even the lowest score of 67 didn't make me feel any better as the heavy coring is goingn to happen today and tomorrow and I really need a BIG round from someone to shoot a 64....I'm a little worried about the bet but we'll see what happens today.

As for any further bets today.......I was kicking myself for not backing "lefty" Mickleson at the start as he has prepared for this tournament very well (unlike me by the looks of yesterdays tips) and went round in a pleasing -3......I think he will go VERY close this weekend so I'll take him to finish in the Top 5 at a pleasing 3.2.....lets hope he can post another sub 70 round to keep him there abouts for an attack at the weekend, playing with Darren Clarke will help as he looks in good form but I hold high aspirations for him.

As for the 3 balls.....came out level yesterday so may leave it alone today so am going for even smaller stakes on todays 3 balls as I'm still feeling my way round this type of bet and the people I want to back are far to short

• LOSE 0.62pts - Lay 1pt - 14:26 Group Penrice Jnr @ 1.62

That should see a profit but I'll be mainly cheering Big Phil home and hope Tiger blows up!
