Top Goalscorer - Top 3 + Golden Ball Winner

Every day there seems to be new market on betfair but today was the day I'm most excited about as the market is now there for the Top Goalscorer - Top 3 AND the Golden Ball winner

I love these markets and even though I have had a cheeky couple of punts on Tevez and Toni (although that has been layed back yesterday we still get a profit if he does win the whole thing!) the option of getting an EW bet on this market really appeals.

Plus the golden ball winner is a very good market to tip up as there are some HUGE prices on players who I think will have a say in where the trophy ends up.

Firstly the goalscorer......As I have said before I fancy France to do well this year and therefore you can't look past the boy Henry to get the goals.......he is pure class and so half a point for him to be there at the end is a good call.

The other 2 players have fallen into my radar of good players + teams that score goals + Week groups = Goals

In a previous post I have said that Group D and H will hopefully have the most goals in and the 2 strongest teams in those groups is Spain and Portugal....therefore take their best strikers Pauletta and Torres and I'm hopeful of seeing at least 1 of them hit....and with double figure prices I'll be very happy when they do.

Now the Golden Ball winner is presented to the best player of the tournament.....so who are the best players?

• Henry - If I'm going to tip him to be Top Scorer then he is an obvious candidate
• Messi - if I think Argentina are going to do the business then I'll take the raw talent now back to full fitness so hopefully fresh and a future world cup star
• Riquelme - Very impressed with him in the Champions League and likely to be pulling the strings from midfield in the team I'm tipping Argentina.
• Gerrard - This boy is having a hell of a year, won the FA Cup, likely to be Englands driving force in midfield and a great player.
• Ballack - The talisman of German football.....if they have any chance this year he will have to play like a man possesed.
• Kaka - Not a great season for the boy but I really rate him and a HUGE price considering he's in the favourites team
• Ronaldinho - Player of the year....a genius on the ball......this is bascially a saver but I'm hoping that 1 of my other picks nicks it off him!!
