Champions League - 2006/2007
The Final
A repeat of the 2005 Final sees Liverpool take on Milan........to be honest I'm not very interested in this game. Both teams have finished 20pts or more behind the eventual winners of their respective leagues and they have had the luxury of being able to rest key players in the final league games just to have them fit for the big one here.
Therefore I'm not going to be putting much on the game but here are my thoughts. Milan should and will win this, whether it be in normal time or extra time or penalties but they will be lifting the trophy this year.
I just like the teams setup and Gattuso is the key for them winning this, I would take Kaka over Mascharano any day of the week and with Gattuso v Gerrard I think Milan will win the midfield battle and therefore the game. Liverpool's forwards have not had a great end of season......Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy haven't scored to many as the reds meandered to the end the season which I also think will be key in deciding this game.
All in all all the boxes are ticked for Milan and I'm going to have to side with them to win it. I will have a cheeky punt on a 2-1 Liverpool victory just because the price is so big but the rest of the bets will be on the boys from Italy.
