I'm trying hard to get excited about this game but failing miserable.....these 2 haven't had a decent game of football for a few years now and anyone unfortunate enough to have watched the 0-0 at Chelsea earlier this season will testify that this games has under 2.5 goals written all over it.

However where is the fun in backing that? True this bet would have landed 4/4 of the previous Champion League semi finals featuring the 2 teams but with the price so low you can get some VERY attractive prices on 2-1's so we will go that way. I personally think this game will be nothing like the other 2 semi's in that for a start Liverpool are at home for the first leg meaning they can't just play 10 men behind the ball and hope to get a nice referee at Anfield. Therefore I reckon Chelsea could nick something tonight and finish the job at home where I don't think Liverpool will be good enough. the price on Chelsea to qualify is a stonking bet @1.92 so I will take some of this also. Gerrard and Carragher are a booking away from missing the 2nd leg and if that happens then I'll be very confident of picking up my money.

Speaking of cards it is worth noting the Booking prices in this game, all 4 previous games went under 9 points so the Lay of 9pts and Over @ 1.96 is also an attractive one. Saying that the 2nd leg I will look to play the bookings and also my favourite HT/FT bets.....
