Russia v Spain
So close last night on both the 2-1's and penalties but no matter tonights game is much more interesting (incidently I felt last night was the dullest 3-2 I have ever seen...not sure why but I just couldn't get excited...anyway). Spain are the better team indivudally and they will get chances by the weakness of the Russians centre backs and the quality of the Spanish forwards but I wouldn't like to be backing Spain at just above evens.....especially as I have Germany v Spain final @ 10 in the tournament bets. So for tonight I'll be interested in corners and bookings and hope that both teams don't go into their shell, there should be plenty of attacking football and the booking market has been squewed downwards on last nights booking market that finished with only 1 yellow card so the 1.92 on 9pts and over is a very tasty price.....I do have a bad feeling they will play it cagey as they are so close to the final but if they both play their natual game it should be a cracker......I have a bad feeling it won't be though so I'll take a small saver on under 1.5 goals in case it's a shut up shop job.
Germany v Turkey
I know, I know it's boring going for the same bets EVERY time but frankly the rest of the odds on this fixture are so dire that I cannot see a lot else.....Germany are 1.22 to qualify and 1.44 to win in 90 minutes. After the last time I chased short odds on a team against Turkey got busted with Croatia I'm not going to get involved with this and for the moment take the 2 bets I know and love in knock-out football with 2-1's and Penalties....once I do more research on the corners and referee I may be back with more....watch this space
