Week 10
International week, some people love it, some hate it.......whatever way you look at it it's still an opportunity to make some money so Bunsen has done the research into the game and here are his thoughts
England Vs. Austria
Its do or die time……………
So its crunch time in group six, after a poor showing against the Welsh and Northern Ireland. Two wins and we are there. If it was away from home I would be seriously worried but we should pull through even if it’s in second place!!
Is it going to be Terry and Campbell or Terry and Ferdinand at the back? Is Beckham going to revert back out onto the right? Will the beanpole get a look in up front? And more importantly why am I asking so many questions?
Frankly I don’t give a damn, I can only see one winner. I may be made to eat my words come Saturday evening but surely we cannot be as poor for a third game in a row.
Looking at the value odds as I tend to do on these occasions, there is one scoreline that is popping out at me is 3-1 to England at 12’s. I think we will score goals but are always likely to let the odd one in. Most people are going for a 2-0 England win but that is not value in my eyes.
Moving onto the first goalscorer, this is an interesting one. You would think that with Beckham firing in crosses from his best position on the right that Messr’s Owen and Crouch (if selected) will be licking their lips at the prospect. Again the value is pretty poor for these. Although Crouch is a handful, having not scored for Liverpool all season what are the chances of him at international level (kiss of death right there)
So my pick is Joe Cole at 14’s, who will be chomping at the bit to impress after failing to win a regular spot under Jose Mourinho recently.
I am tempted to have a cheeky punt on John Terry as he is likely to cause the Austrians problems at set pieces. He is a mouth-watering 22’s and maybe worth a couple of your finest sterling.
