England Vs. UruguayThe road to Germany............
Just over three months away from the World Cup and we at Calvstar are getting very excited about England's chances.
The background investigation to tipping the greatest event has already begun and we are using the wealth of knowledge within the team to pick out the potential winners and losers. More of that in the coming months.
Back to the matter in hand.
For once I am in full support of the FA's decision to play a South American team to get in the swing of things before we face Paraguay in the group stages.
Whilst I don't think the Uruguayan's are likely to cause too many problems, they do have a few decent players that could test us if we are not totally up for it.
After Mr Lampard coming in nicely at the weekend to help keep the wolves from door, I feel he is coming back to his best after a few games below his very high standards. The king of deflections will take any penalties and is always likely to have a pop from distance.
Wayne Rooney fresh from his two goals against Wigan will be confident to add to his tally for the season although his odds will be short.
As for the correct score in this game, it's always difficult when the team is likely to change at half time. There are already quotes in the newspapers calling for Sven to only play some of the big stars for 45 minutes. This could twist the result away from a routine victory.
As always I try to find the value and 2-1 to England looks the best bet.
