• The Weekend Football page is back again and after a small profit last year we look forward to another good year starting this Saturday.

• Those of you who are regulars of the site will already know about our patented 2-1 bets.....it's been very very good to us over the years and with a plethera of new visitors I feel it's best to explain how/when and why this bet came to be. The Betting Results are in for October and it isn't pretty reading......thank god for Bunsen's Darts and Snooker or it would have been a much worse month.....still November is usually a good month so lets see if we can win this back.

Speaking of which we are now into our 4th year here at CalvStar and I would like to thank you all for sticking with us, this only started out as a fun thing between friends but with so many of you guys checking out the site we are now taking things a bit more seriously.....592pts in 3 years is good enough I'm sure you agreee especially for a free site. The other big news is that RSS is now available at CalvStar, this is a free service which will allow you the users to keep up to date on which pages update during the day here on the site and give you the latest news on what bets we place on ANY market, it's a fantastic tool and if you want to know more check out our RSS page to show you how to set it up. The subscription service currently keeps a check on all the major pages on the site but of the course the main one is today's bets where you will be kept up to date as and when any new tips are provided by us.

Also a new feature on the site.......if you've only just heard about the site and want to get involved then you are in luck, on the toolbar above you will find a beginners guide to how to start betting and following our tips. The first installment show the different types of bet such as

• Examples of us LAYing bets
• Explanation of how Spread Markets work including examples from Corner and Booking markets

Todays Bets + Betting Deadlines

Here at CalvStar we are worried that you are not getting enough information on all the bets we give each day as there are so many markets to choose from NFL, Soccer, Cricket etc.... therefore we recomend that the TODAY'S BETS section be the first place you check (after this page obviously) so you can see what we recommend each day so you are kept up to date on all our tips as well as seeing results from previous days. It can be found on the top toolbar on each of the pages on this site so you are only one click away from finding out the latest tips.

We are also keeping in line with when tips should be available for each market and you can see below when to expect each market to be up. This information can now be found under the section BETTING DEADLINES, it can also be found on the left hand toolbar and is a guide to show you when you can expect tips on all markets.
