This page will take you step by step on how to get CalvStar on RSS and keep up to date on EVERY bet we have on the site.
The technical bit of RSS can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(protocol) but lets be honest most of you won't care about how the thing works so lets get to what you need to do.
Firs thing you need to do is get a tool that will look after your RSS subscriptions (bear in mind ALL the major websites have this feature so if you setting it up for CalvStar you might want to also subscribe to the BBC free and get the latest news to your desktop daily!!).
The best free applications to use to check your RSS subscriptions are rssowl or awasu which allow you keep track of all your news channels although Yahoo do a good free one BUT my favourite has to be Desktop Sidebar which not only does an free RSS reader but also scans other RSS channels to give you the latest weather information along with statistics on how your PC is performing, a superb little tool.....anyway choose one that your comfortable with and then you are ready to recieve these RSS feeds
Once you install one of these newsreaders then you can subscribe by
- Drag the orange RSS button into your News Reader
- Drag the URL of the RSS feed into your News Reader
- Cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into your News Reader
Now whenever a page is updated on the site during the day all you have to do is keep you rss reader open and you can see when the pages update.......easy!
As I have said before many many sites use this service and my favourite has to be the BBC's which keeps me up to date with all the sports news without having to refresh the internet every 5 minutes.
